Guarding hungry ghosts ain't cheap
CEO security costs tech companies a pretty penny. Of course, in comparison to their outsise profits (and miniscule tax payments) it's a drop in the bucket. But Facebook executive security costs far outstrip its peers. Whether that's the result of legitimatrely outsized threats, better intel, or simply wildly inflated egos, it's hard to say.
Interestingly, Apple spends the least protecting its CEO, Tim Cook—just under $500k last year.
