The Internet is an amazing thing. The sheer quantity of information being disgorged every minute is hard to fathom. And so much gets lost, visible for a moment, then instantly forgotten beneath the next wave.

But every once in a while, that sheer volume, its amazing reach, works in our favor. Yesterday, I ran across this thread by Melissa Turkington (note) about a used book she bought and its previous owner's marginalia. The notes would have been hilarious all by themselves.

But the, today, the Internet delivered. The book's previous owner, Katherine Esters, stepped forward.
